When? ... Thursday 19 April 2018,  7 – 9 pm, for 10 Weeks.

Where? ... Unit 31, the Factory, Aynam Road, Kendal

Who can go? ... Everyone is welcome, regardless of ability or experience.

How much? ... £7 per session or £50 in advance for whole term. (Call to ask about concessions)

What do I need? ... You can bring your own writing materials (or fully charged laptop) but we can also provide paper and pens, as well as refreshments in return for a small donation to a local charity.

An Introduction to Writing for Children - an online course

This course involves 7 set modules covering the following topics, the golden rules of children’s fiction, plot development, audience, themes and emotions in relation to children’s lives, character building, dialogue and setting. 

You will be provided with exercises, suggested reading and a marked assignment for each module, for which I will provide full feedback and suggestions for further development. There is no time limit for completion of the course. 

Focus your writing on one of these areas

  • Writing for younger readers
  • Writing for middle-grade readers
  • Writing for YA readers

or have a go at writing for all three.

Price for the full course ~ £350
